Supervisors Investigating Paris’ Special Treatment
According to KNX1070 Newsradio, LA County supervisors Mike Antonovich and Yvonne B. Burke are asking the County Sheriff’s Department to provide a report on the reason for Paris Hilton’s early release from jail. Relatives of other jail inmates are also asking for an investigation, to see if Ms. Hilton was receiving star treatment.
A valid question. Although Sheriff Lee Baca gave the reason for her release as a “medical condition,” he did not provide details at the time of Paris’ release. Paris made the following statement to Barbara Walters about the time prior to her release:
”I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage,” she said. ”It was a horrible experience.”
I’m sorry, but I have to say it… Well, duh! Jail is a horrible experience for most people! Most people are depressed and feel they’re in a cage in jail. Being caged and losing your freedoms is the entire point of jail! It’s as though Paris feels that she is undergoing something that all the other inmates are not!
Attorney -Gloria Allred has also announced the filing of a lawsuit against the county on behalf of a black woman who was an inmate at the jail and who, apparently, had more serious medical issues than Ms. Hilton. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.
