Paris Hilton faces a $75,000 lawsuit
First, I would like to apologize for having been in hiatus for the past few days. It has been a very busy week for me as a college instructor but hopefully everything will start getting better now.
Well as I am having my own difficulties with my teaching ‘career,’ it seems like Paris Hilton is also facing some trouble herself as Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. filed a $75,000 lawsuit against her for not promoting well the movie she did with them last 2006 entitled “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!”.
There are two ‘what’s?!’ for that paragraph. First, what?! I haven’t heard of that film until now; what?! Paris not doing promotions?! – The world isn’t round!
Anyway, for the sake for the sake of that news, it has been reported that our dear heiress “entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!”. Hilton starred in the film and received credit as an executive producer.
The Miami-based concern said it paid Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million for Paris’s acting services and for reasonable promotion and publicity for the movie, which was released in 2006 and featured Hilton as the president of an exclusive sorority.
If I am to give my opinion on this report, I believe Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. is just trying to make excuses as why their movie flopped. Well some people would probably think they just want to make money from Paris, or whatever. But as far as I’m concern, publicity is something that Paris would never ever have problem about.
