Paris and Ashton gets everyone fooled
It looks like it’s not just our dear heiress, Paris Hilton who ‘fooled’ everyone, at least most of us, with her ‘spiritual guidance’ stint with a ‘holy man’ who was actually an actor named Max Santillan, Jr. Reports emerged that this prank is just a part of Ashton Kutcher’s new show entitled, Pop Fiction.
Oh yes, if they were the target of Kurcher’s Punk’d, this time the celebrities turn the table to the media. With 20 celebrities, including several superstars like Paris (if you consider her one) all in on the joke, this show will sure play with the paparazzi and the media’s gullibility.
According to producer Jason Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher’s business partner,
“We live in a culture that’s driven by media and obsessed with celebrity, to the point where they don’t have private lives anymore. Two people going out to eat turns into, ‘They’re engaged.’ It’s a feeding frenzy. It’s dangerous and it’s irresponsible in some cases. We’re having fun, but we want to say to people, ‘Can you really believe everything you read and see??
Amen to that. True, true… With that said, I guess the show will not just be good for laughs but will also be an eye-opener to the public and the media; I guess it’s being critical to the first and responsible reporting for the latter.
