Nicole Richie is a’whinin’ to Paris

Nicole Richie is apparently “terrified” that she will have to serve jail time for her DUI charge. She’s been talking to Paris Hilton about her concerns over Chinese at LA’s Mr. Chow restaurant. A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “She was really freaking out. Paris kept telling Nicole not to worry, that everything was going to be fine.”

If you’ll remember, Nicole was arrested after going the wrong way on a major innerstate in California… admitedly, Nicole was on Vicodin and had been smokin’ the Mary Jane. I guess this is a big improvement for Nicole, Vicodin is pretty mild compared to her old addicition of heroin.

California has a two-DUI-strikes and you get to sit your but in jail for a minimum of 5 days laws, though she can get longer. She’ll also loose her license and have to take an alcohol eduction course (Hi, don’t drink and drive, DUR, class dismissed).

Paris and Nicole have the same lawyer, who recently got Paris a big-old deal of 36 months of probation on a reckless driving charge instead of the DUI that she was facing.
