Investigators: Paris’s burglar is familiar with home
It looks like the burglary in Paris Hilton’s Mulholland Estates mansion last month is getting some progress now.
But nope, the thief hasn’t been caught yet. However, his identity may probably be known soon as LAPD investigators now believe that the robbery must’ve been done by someone who is familiar with the home’s layout and someone who knew how to access the socialite’s collection of rings, watches and necklaces.
While it was initially reported that Paris’s bedroom was ransacked, the security video showed the thief going into our dear heiress’s room easily while quickly finding her jewelry collection, which includes several family heirlooms. This strengthened the police’ belief since the jewels were actually in a place that was not accessible to someone simply searching the home.
The thief wore gloves and shielded his face in a hooded sweat shirt. There was no evidence of the thief entering or leaving the gated community nestled in the hills of Sherman Oaks, law enforcement sources said.
In her recent interview with E!, Paris already suggested that she knows her burglar.
“I think whoever did this, definitely has been [in my home] before. We have some suspects that I’m thinking of,” said our dear heiress during the interview.
And so with this, the police are now investigating a number of potential suspects based on the information gathered on the scene of crime and from our dear heiress’s testimonies.
Well I really hope the thief be caught now. It would surely be a good New Year ‘present’ for our dear heiress. As for the jewels being returned, I think this one would be of less possibility.
