Looking back from Paris Hilton’s Sojourn in Jail
If we all wonder if Paris Hilton did in fact celebrated or ‘commemorated’ the first of her 23 days in jail, her (once) inmates at the Lynwood Jail were sweet enough to remember and celebrate the first anniversary of our dear heiress’s arrival at the facility.
Learning from their state-funded cooking class, the inmates baked a cake to celebrate Paris’s incarceration on drink driving charges last year.
Reminiscing…
It was of January last year when Paris Hilton pleaded no contest to “one count of alcohol-related reckless driving?. She was arrested in September of the previous year when a “police spotted her behind the wheel of her Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, driving erratically as she left a Hollywood hot spot? “and failed a field sobriety test.?
“Per the deal, Hilton agreed to enroll in an alcohol-education program and stay out of trouble for three years.?
However, Paris being Paris did not learn her lesson and was caught in February to be driving a suspended license (add to that, our dear heiress was also accused of not enrolling in the court-mandated alcohol-education program); a big no-no for someone in probation. And so, she was ordered back to court and was sentenced to a 45-day stint in jail for driving with a suspended license and other probation violations.
Fortunately, the sentence was cut in half by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after her case was reviewed and was given credit for her good behavior.
And so, taking the punishment without a fight, Paris checked herself “to sheriff’s deputies at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood just after 11:30 p.m. in June 3, 2007.
She was finally free and was out as a “changed? woman three weeks after her stay in jail.
A Year Later…
Paris probably has learned her lesson from her sojourn in jail. From that day on, Paris seems to have already stayed out of trouble and had been content and happy with her life with her beau, Benji Madden.
