While getting ready to film her latest reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New Best Friend, our dear heiress has probably two goals in mind. First is to prove that her show ain’t pathetic as what everybody (including me) thinks. And to prove critics wrong that the show’s winner will eventually get ditched by her once the show’s filming is over.

Paris Hilton should have been really glad to find out that the number of (desperate) hopefuls for her upcoming reality TV show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF has already reached to 85,000.

Yup! 85,000! Now this sure is a good news for our dear heiress who’s back to Los Angeles after a month-long experience as a groupie of the Good Charlotte’s world tour.

This statistics according to People magazine is based from the number of profiles on the show’s website and the number of people who auditioned in various states.

Unfortunately out of these thousands who vie to become Paris’s new best friend, only 20 of them will make it to the show’s cast. And of these 20 who will undergo a series of tests, one will be chosen by our dear heiress to be her new BFF (best friend forever).

So for the rest who won’t be picked? I hope they get some consolation like an addition to their savings accounts.

The show, to be called “Paris’ Pooches” will feature our dear heiress managing a beauty parlor for dogs in London.

As of this time, our dear heiress, Paris Hilton may already be in Chicago for a two-day casting reception and audition for those who made the first cut in the online application of her upcoming reality show, “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF”.

On the latest entry of her MySpace blog, our dear heiress expressed her excitement and enthusiasm in meeting her potential BFFs.

Here’s what she wrote:

Hi Everyone,
As you all know I’ve been traveling all month and am currently in London with Benji having an amazing time. I love London, it is definately one of my favorite cities in the world. We went shopping at Harrod’s yesterday and had a blast, that store has everything! So much fun! In the meantime, I’m sooo looking forward to my new show which begins shooting next month. Loving the casting videos! Some of you have been so sweet and so creative. It’s going to be hard for me to decide which potential BFFs I should chose for my show! Luckily I have a great casting team helping me while I’m traveling. Doron Ofir’s Casting team have been traveling the country and so far they have auditioned over a thousand girls and guys – but just so you all know – its all been by appointment only so make sure you log onto www.ParisBFF.com to apply for the show. And just to clear up any misinformation you may have heard, there are NO open calls for the show! Everyone they invite has applied thru the site and they’ve picked out the best contenders to interview. Well I guess that’s sweet of Paris to personally check and watch the audition videos of her BFF-wanna be’s.

However, I still can’t help but think about how her ‘great’ casting team would pick among those hundreds of hopefuls. As to whether the looks, the talent, or the personality would be the basis for the casting is still a big wonder for me… Big wonder…

It wasn’t just once that I mentioned about how cynical I am with Paris’s upcoming reality series, “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.” Well obviously it’s not Paris that I’m cynical about, it’s the show’s plot that’s just so lame and pathetic.

Anyway, thanks for my ‘resourcefulness’ ***grins*** I stumbled upon this article which actually presented the exact thoughts I have for this upcoming reality show of our dear heiress.

We’ve already reported on Paris Hilton’s new telly show.

And yes, you really can become Paris’ new pal through the medium of television.

But we have to raise the question: will you really be true best friends forever Paris?

She’s filming for her new show, Paris Hilton My New BFF, but all may not be as it seems.

Because there’s chatter going around that the selection process is not really as beautiful as one might think…

There will be no friendship at first sight if you believe the reports.

According to the Metro, Paris Hilton has left her potential friendship in the hands of two casting directors set to interview hopefuls at Nikki Beach in New York this week.

We guess if you get through them, you then audition with the lady herself.

Can’t wait to see how all this pans out.

And be sure to let us know if you’re one of those friendly hopefuls.

Let me say that again, my thoughts exactly! First, how’s the audition going to happen? What does a Paris Hilton new bff hopeful has to do to make it to the show? Would look matter? Is talent a factor? How are those casting directors going to gauge the personalities of those hopefuls? And since Paris has been saying she wanted a friend who’s loyal and one who won’t stab her at the back, how the hell would she know?!

Well that’s just some of my concerns for the show. Guess all we have to do now is just to wait and see…

Although I am actually a bit cynical of Paris Hilton’s new reality show, “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF,” I must give credit to the people behind this upcoming show who seems to be really committed in making this thing as a serious matter.

Of course with such plot of our dear heiress finding a new best friend she could trust and will be loyal to her, who would take this seriously?

Anyway, in the quest of finding the cast of Paris Hilton best friend wanna-be’s, our dear heiress along with her advisers will be heading to Chicago on April 12-14 for the casting reception and audition of those who made the first cut in the online application. After Chicago, auditions will also be held in New York, Las Vegas, Houston, Los Angeles and Miami to finally get the 20 cast members of the show.

I hope those who don’t make it to the cut at least be given some coupon codes. Well that’s just a thought.

I really have no idea how that audition will be like. Whether there’d be singing and some belly dancing, I wouldn’t know. But if freebies like Sephora Coupon Codes and Exclusive 123 Inkjets Coupon Codes, then I guess it wouldn’t be that bad after all, right?!

The first time I visited the site set for Paris’ new reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, it was still under construction with just Paris’ name placed on a pink circle. Now, with just almost two weeks after that visit, I re-visited the site and was really astounded to see at how crowded the site is now.

And you know what that means? – Somebody, in fact hundreds are actually hoping to be Paris Hilton’s new best friend!

As of this time, the current leader of the casting members is BenjyBenjy, a 21-year-old New Yorker with 96255 votes. Yep, 96255 votes! Gees, I’m crossing my fingers this doesn’t turn out to be a Paris Hilton new best friend wanna-be’s mania.

Well I really think you should check the site out and see for yourself the hundreds of hopefuls coveting the title to be our dear heiress’ next best friend. Check out their various personalities and styles, and find out if these people are really real and serious about all these.

And if checking is not enough, and you think you’d want to join this ‘mania’ too, there are two ways to get on the show. You may create a site profile at ParisBFF.com and ask for votes. Your accumulated votes get counted and the most popular profile will get the chance to be on the upcoming reality show.

You may also directly submit your casting application to the casting department for their consideration. Here, you will just have to answer some questions which is more like answering an autograph in high school.

It’s actually that easy to be considered a part of Paris’ upcoming reality. For a childish show, I guess it ought to have a childish process, too.

Guess what? Paris Hilton’s upcoming reality show with a very childish and pathetic plot can never be stopped now.

Teaming up with MTV and Ish Entertainment, dear heiress’ next reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, will feature 20 boys and girls who will try to prove their worth and loyalty to become Paris’ new best friend.

Shocks! I can’t believe someone would really try to kiss Paris’ feet just to be her friend. I mean, I have nothing against wanting to be Paris’ friend per se, but pushing yourself really hard just to be someone’s new best friend is just so pathetic.

And you know what I think? These ‘hopefuls’ could just be one of America’s growing population of ‘bad credit’ consumers.

At long last, Paris Hilton’s latest reality show’s finally “baptized” as Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.

Thursday, March 13, 2008 dear heiress escorted by her latest beau, Benji Madden attended the press conference of the first’s new MTV series. Clad in a stunning black dress accessorized with glittering diamonds, Paris promoted her upcoming show which will revolve around her quest for a new best friend. Reports also revealed that the show will have an online voting site named ParisBFF.com.

Wow I guess things are really getting serious with Paris now. And I don’t mean her relationship with the Good Charlotte guitarist, although they too seem to be getting serious, I actually mean the show. With a concept that childish, I never really thought the producers are that serious.

Oh well, what can I say, but good luck to Paris Hilton’s My New BFF!
