Being best friends for a long time and having boyfriends who are twins seem to be really amusing to both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie that they plan to get themselves a double wedding.

Well, yes, you read it right. Paris and Nicole are back again in action. And it’s all for the glory of fame (and publicity) at the expense of their boyfriends, Benji and Joel, respectively.

To recall, Nicole who’s a mother of three-month-old daughter Harlow to Joel Madden introduced her on-again-off-again best friend, Paris to Joel’s twin brother, Benji. The latter have hit it off well since then and went public with their relationship last February.

After her much talked about declaration of love to boyfriend Benji Madden on her MySpace page yesterday, rumors have it that our dear heiress is starting to think on following the footsteps of her best friend, Nicole Richie. And that is to settle down and start a family.

But instead of getting flattered of this, Nicole is said to be accusing Paris to be copying her every moves.

According to a source of Britain’s Star magazine:

“Nicole was already upset when Paris started dating Benji - it all happened too fast for her liking. Then Nicole couldn’t go on tour with them because she had to stay home and look after her young daughter Harlow.”

“She is furious Paris is out there gallivanting with her boyfriend and his brother. If Paris gets pregnant, Nicole is going to go ballistic. She thinks Paris copies everything she does.”

Why Nicole, don’t you know that imitation is the best form of flattery?! If ever tries to follow your footstep that would still make ahead of her, right?! Besides, what are friends for?

Anyway, I don’t really think Paris would consider having a baby right now. I guess these rumors were just prompted by Paris’ statement last year that she wants kids for this year. She’s obsessed with herself, remember?! How do you think would she ever look at herself in the mirror with an enormous tummy?!

I actually came upon this article from StarPulse.com about talentless celebrities making it big in Hollywood. And of course, when you talk about stars without talent, who’s the name that comes first in your mind? – Paris Hilton. Well there’s also her socialite pal, Nicole Richie, who, just like her is without talent but hit quite well in the media.

Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton have become famous for several reasons. Their fashion choices, both admired and fodder for worst-dressed lists, for one. Their crazy, public antics and crotch shots. Their tumultuous relationships and Nicole’s pregnancy.

But among all that, one important question remains. How is it that these two women - the poster-girls for talentless celebs - have been able to sustain fame? Why, exactly, are they famous? Why do their faces sell millions of magazines? Why does their branding guarantee success of a TV show, fragrance or fashion trend?

In the case of Hilton and Richie, fame came their way through notable last names.

Only in Hollywood does a last name carry such an instant stigma. You wouldn’t immediately trust a surgeon solely on the fact that his father was a good surgeon. You wouldn’t trust a dentist just because his mother was a good dentist. You wouldn’t elect a president just because his father was a good president (oh, wait, maybe some of us would).

Fortunately (or unfortunately), Paris and Nicole are not the only ones mentioned in the article to have gotten fame for their last names. There’s Kelly Osbourne, Kim Kardashian, and Kimberly Stewart.

My take in this article is that these ladies aren’t just famous for their family names. In Paris Hilton’s case, she has this certain appeal to most people. She’s hated by parents for her notorious behavior, she’s envied by women for her classy and fashionable looks, and she’s loved by men for her sex appeal. She didn’t need the talent to be a celebrity; people both love and hate her for who she is.

Good for those who really worked their way to the top, but lucky they are who didn’t have to. Hollywood is after all big enough to cater both those with talent and those with none.

Now that they could possibly end up (cross our fingers) as sisters-in-law, socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie show some love to their special someones, twins Benji and Joel Madden who are celebrating their 29th birthday today. Well of course they had their own ways of celebrating this special day of their ‘loved ones’.

New mom, Nicole Richie probably has a fun celebration in mind as she was seen shopping for treats at a party store yesterday. Gosh Nicole doesn’t look like she just gave birth to baby Harlow! Hmmm… I wonder if Nicole and Benjie will be celebrating in a romantic with just the two of them or have some family bonding with their little angel?

On the other hand, dear heiress, Paris Hilton celebration with new beau, Benji Madden was through an intimate pre-birthday bash at a LAX nightclub booth with a giant cake. Pre-birthday huh?! I hope Paris won’t throw another strip tease like the one she did on her birthday.

How lucky could the Madden brothers be? With two socialites going crazy over them what more can Benji and Joel ask for their birthday?

We’ve all seen dear heiress, Paris Hilton bringing two copies (for her and new beau, Benji Madden) of People’s issue featuring exclusive photos of her BFF Nicole Richie and her cutie daughter Harlow. This time, let’s try to check those photos that neither Paris nor Benji could resist.

Born on January 11, 2008, Harlow Winter Kate Madden is definitely a beautiful bub mommy Nicole and daddy Joel should be really proud of. Looking so angelic and serene with her first ‘commercial’ photos, this baby is a star in the making.

Gosh, I am actually teary-eyed and feeling so much warmth watching these photos of Nicole and her little angel. I mean, don’t we all? Motherhood is one of the most wonderful and fulfilling career a woman can have. And seeing Nicole, I know she’s having one great time of her life being Harlow’s mom.

And knowing Paris, I’m betting she’s thinking of having her own angel (someday or soon). Why don’t she and Benji start planning on giving little Harlow here a cousin? ***Thinking…. Then freaks out!***

Out in newsstands last February 29, People’s latest issue featured a first look at new mom, Nicole Richie and her super cutie daughter, Harlow Madden. And like one true friend, Nicole’s BFF, dear heiress, Paris Hilton brought two copies of the reading material as she met up with her new boyfriend, Benji Madden, who was also the baby’s proud uncle at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

Well, who could actually resist exclusive photos of Nicole and her cute little Harlow? For sure not Paris.

And yeah, with Paris looking this supportive and proud of her new mom friend, it makes one wonder what she needs a new best friend for in her new reality show?

Anyway, it’s really refreshing seeing Paris like this. I mean for weeks now, she’s been behaving pretty well. Shall we thank new beau, Benji for that?

This one’s actually new to me, after Friends, I didn’t know Monica, err… Courtney Cox Arquette has another television series (that she herself produced) and is now for its second season premiere called Dirt.

Courtney, playing the role of ruthless tabloid editor, Lucy Spiller, combined Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s “headline-grabbing moments” and came up with a character named Milan Carlton. This combination of the socialite pals sure does make one helluva high-living party girl character, huh?!

For the show’s second season premiere on March, Carlton, who has the same European city first name of Paris, is arrested for driving the wrong way on a freeway – yes, the same crime Nicole Richie was punished for.

The socialite character also leads paparazzi on a chase through Hollywood; a habit that’s so Britney-ish.

“You’re gonna be able to identify these characters pretty easily. We’re just poking fun and hopefully no one will get their feelings hurt.”

Courtney promises the audience.

I guess I’d have to catch up on this series. It seems so interesting actually.

Well, looks like Paris already became bored with her charity project/pizza delivery boy/boyfriend. According to British newspaper The Sun, Paris has dumped 20-year-old Swedish tourist Alex Vaggo. Apparently, he’s too shy for her.

A source close to Paris says “She loved his good looks, but she gets bored very quickly, and he was just too shy and quiet for her. She likes bad boys.” Gee, maybe she should try dating rapper T.I. right now!

I knew this couldn’t last long. Paris once again proves that she’s attracted to the shallow things like looks. Here’s hoping Vaggo got some good connections and a few good jobs out of the deal!

In other Paris news, Paris has revealed that she is scared about her upcoming trip to Rwanda. “I’m scared, yeah. I’ve heard it’s really dangerous. I’ve never been on a trip like this before.”

During her humanitarian trip to Rwanda, Paris will be visiting schools and health-care clinics on her five-day trip, and staying in accomodations that are definitely not the four-star hotels she’s used to occupying. She will be traveling with Playing for Good-a children’s charity which helps businesses and celebrities get involved in philanthropic work, but with a camera recording it all.

It is hoped that the footage will be used for a reality show called “The Philanthropist,” featuring various celebrities on drives to help the world’s poor. Another version of “The Simple Life”-this time without Nicole Richie! I hope this charity does some good for the world’s poor, but I can’t wait to see how Paris handles this trip. Five days without bars and clubs? And will she have to eat the same food as the people she’s visiting? This could be very difficult for Paris. Stay tuned!

Paris recently spent a day out shopping for “frenemy” Nicole Richie’s unborn baby, Entertainment Tonight reports. The socialite shopped at hotspot Intuition, where she picked up a dozen bags of items, including a black rhinestone baby t-shirt reading “Don’t Ya Wish Your Mommy Was Hot Like Mine?” She also bought matching black pants and black leather baby shoes to go with the shirt.

On the impending arrival of Nicole and Joel Madden’s baby, Paris said, “I am very excited for her new baby.”
The twelve bags of stuff she bought filled Paris’ Bentley to the brim!

Apparently, Paris has total confidence in pal Nicole Richie’s parenting abilities! SF Gate printed the following quote from Paris:

“She’s really happy. I just got off the phone with her. She’s so excited.

“(Nicole and Joel) are really in love. I know she’s going to be the best mom ever.”

Frankly, I’d be scared out of my wits if Paris Hilton thought I was going to be a good mom! And she’s probably one of the few who thinks that Nicole has what it takes!

Paris Hilton is glad that The Simple Life has been cancelled, according to Reality TV World.

“It’s been a great five years and we had so much fun,” Hilton told The Insider on Monday while attending the premiere of Rush Hour 3. “I’m happy to end it at that.”

Now, Paris can concentrate on her much-more-complicated real life! Wonder if she’ll be giving a party for on-again/off-again pal Nicole Richie’s release from jail!

Life will no longer be “simple” for Paris and on again/off again pal, Nicole Richie. Their reality(?) series, The Simple Life will be ending on E! will be ending. The finale will air this Sunday, according to Yahoo News. The show debuted in 2003, and put priveleged Paris and Nicole into everyday life situations.

In the final episode, Paris and Nicole write a play about their long friendship. Celebrity counselor Sally Kirkland helps then with the production. She also plays Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie!

So, will life be more complicted for the duo after this? Lately, it doesn’t seem as though it could be more complicated, what with both of them sentenced to jail terms! In addition, Nicole is pregnant and reported to be marrying soon. Paris has a movie musical, a new album in the works-and there’s always her promised philanthropy projects(!) to work at getting off the ground.

But, for these two, I’m sure it can always get more complicated!

Journalist Steve Gorman has written an article on Reuters which compares the differing views of Paris Hilton that he saw during an interview set up to promote “The Simple Life” (with Paris and Nicole Richie) and his coverage of Ms. Hilton in court on the day she was sent back to jail. Here’s an interesting excerpt from the article:

The contrast between my stage-managed encounter with an immaculately groomed Hilton and her emotional day in court illustrated how thin the veneer of stardom can be.

It also reminded me of a fundamental truth of entertainment journalism — that celebrities rarely open themselves to public scrutiny unless they have something to sell.

Like the judge who sent her back to jail, I had waited two hours for Hilton to show up for my interview.

When she did appear she was perfectly turned out, sitting opposite me in a bright yellow dress on the set of a Hollywood studio looking aloof and bored.

It was a far cry from the quivering, weeping bundle of raw emotion who pleaded to be allowed to remain under house arrest rather than be forced back to jail to complete her sentence for violating probation in a drunken-driving case.

Interesting contrast. Just goes to show you how different celebrities can be when they’re not in control of the entire situation!

Seems Nicole is worried about following her friend/partner-in-crime, Paris, to jail! And, with all the hoopla and legal wrangling over Paris’ release and possible return, she just might see that fear realized!

And, facing charges of driving under the influence, Paris and Nicole’s fellow party gal, Lindsay Lohan, may have something to worry about as well. Maybe the world is finally tired of seeing these young celebrities run amuck!

Paris Hilton’s on-again, off-again best gal pal Nicole Ritchie hosted the Armani Sunglass Launch last night at a private residence in LA. So those hot new stunner shades by Armani were all over the faces of the girl brat pack.

Thanks to makeup the wonders of makeup artistry, Nicole looked wonderful, even though her tiny dress was still draping off of her feed-me-a-big-mac frame. But what the heck was Paris wearing? Looks like she just left the boudoir in that little number.
