Although I couldn’t find a source that would confirm the reports about Paris Hilton getting banned at the Oscars, her absence at the show is somehow proof enough.

So she splashed out $2-$4 Million for a posh frock for the event; but aside from not being able to wear the dress, our dear heiress sure missed a lot more at the 80th Academy Awards.

Well for one, Paris missed to compete with her fellow celebrities at the Red Carpet. I’m sure she would’ve enjoyed vis-à-vis with the flashes of the cameras. It would’ve been one highlight in her life. But then again, I wonder why she was banned (if it was true) and Miley Cyrus wasn’t.

Our dear heiress definitely missed being in the Oscar limelight rubbing elbows with the biggest and brightest personalities in Hollywood.

And of course, Paris missed seeing the faces of those who emerged victorious at the event.

Uh-oh, first, her latest film, “The Hottie and The Nottie” was named the worst film ever by IMDB voters after getting a 1.2 average. Now, Paris Hilton was allegedly banned to attend the Oscars on Sunday even if she has already spent some fortune for her dress for the event.

According to sources,

“She cried hot, salty tears when she was banned from the Oscars. She’s desperate to be taken seriously as an actress and hoped she would be able to network with film executives. She’s tempted to go to the parties afterwards but might wear her trademark wig to save her dignity.”

Wooooo… Could it be?! Well if the report was true, I think it would be really unfair. For someone as self centered (at least in a good way) like Paris, being taken seriously as an actress is something she desperately wanted. And now, this?!

I’m hoping it’s not true. I will surely feel bad for Paris; and of course feel bad for her super expensive dress.

I guess she could still join the after parties anyway. Maybe there, dear Paris could still rub elbows with film executives.

Paris showed up at the post-Emmy party thrown by DirectTV, according to Marc Malkin over at E!Online. What do you think of the dress she’s wearing? Pretty colors, but I’m not too crazy about the design. Also at the party were Mel B (Scary Spice) and Evan Handler.

Apparently, Diddy likes his blondes. Before Britney’s disastrous comeback attempt at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Sunday night, he was seen partying with Paris, Britney and Britney’s cousin Allie Sims at Body English, according to Hollyscoop.

Does this mean Paris and Britney are back together as party pals? Probably not. Paris was later seen, sans Britney, at Noir.

While Paris’ ex-party pal, Britney Spears, was stinking up the stage with a very out-of-it performance of her new single, Gimme More, Paris was showing off her great new hairstyle at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. While some people diss the new style, I think it’s the best Paris’ hair has ever looked! No extensions. Just flowing, natural locks. It looks really good.

Paris also got a nod from Sarah Silverman, who promised her, “No Paris jokes tonight,” to which Paris could be seen saying, “Thank you.” It was Paris’ ex-pal Britney who really needed some help last night. While this was billed as a big comeback performance for Spears, she was barely moving, barely (or not at all) lip-synching, and looked really spaced-out. And where was Criss Angel’s particpation in Britney’s performance. Guess he decided that even he wasn’t a good enough magician to save the mess!
